From installation to a checked result
Try one product without a CSV
Use Try one product, select a real product and enter a namespace, key, type and value. For a harmless draft-product example, use namespace custom, key care_note and a single-line text value you have reviewed.
Inspect the dry-run preview
Create the preview and check valid and invalid rows, the current value and the intended change. Preview alone does not save a metafield to Shopify.
Use real exported IDs for CSV jobs
For larger work, export the intended products, retain their real product IDs and edit only the desired rows. Upload for validation. Do not reuse fictional sample product IDs.
Apply deliberately and review history
Apply only after checking the preview. Inspect row-level results and use guarded undo from History if needed. Later changes can produce conflicts instead of being overwritten.
Common questions
Do I need a paid plan to apply or undo?
No. The current app is free and includes its shipped apply and undo features.
Can I use the app for order or customer metafields?
No. The current scope is product metafields only. A preview does not grant access to other resource types.
Where should I install or manage my plan?
Use the official Shopify App Store listing to install. Open the app from Shopify Admin after installation. Any paid-plan approval happens in Shopify, never through a payment form on this page.
